Chip Vivant is a unique departure from classic keyword-spotting chatbots which have little memory of previous dialog. Chip also attempts to answer commonsense questions and reason in ways that few to no other chatbots can. Although Chip is far from perfect or complete, if we ever want to see smart robots, it's clear that they'll have to tackle some of the problems that Chip attempts to tackle.
I care deeply about these issues and would like to pursue this work on Chip or some variant of Chip. I may not be the smartest or most qualified person to do this stuff, but as you have witnessed, few others seem to have stepped up yet, and my enthusiasm is unbounded.
